New Addition

The Hunt family grew by one with the welcomed arrival of Alyssandra Lee on October 22nd. She was born at 12:53 in the afternoon and weighed 7lbs 13oz and 21 1/2 inches long. I had desperately hoped to be in attendance for her birth, since I will not experience that sort of blessed event for myself, but the hospital wouldn't allow it. My sincere appreciation must be given to Josh and Jamie for inviting me to such a private and special moment in their lives. I love them dearly for even thinking of including me.

I'm not sure if it has to do with a boy or girl thing, but for some strange reason it really hit me that I am an aunt. (No offense Corbbie!) Perhaps it is simply because I have a girl of my own and know of all the fun and fanciness that intales? Maybe it's that I can invision playing dress up and having tea parties with daughters and neices, or making girlie things and taking them shopping?

I think it has more to do with confidence and knowing what to do and how to be with little girls. Boys seem so foreign to me. They like to beat each other up and are so rough and tumble. There has to be something to the phrase, "momma's boy?" They are a mystery to me and I am so looking forward to welcoming one to our family. Until then, I have the wonderful opportunity of learning and practicing with my sweet nephew, Corbin.

I AM ONE LUCKY AUNT!
